04 / Process

From enquiry to handover.

Four steps. You know from the start what we need from you.

01

Enquiry

The form takes three minutes. Answer within two working days.

02

Quote

Scope, documents, dates – then a written quote.

03

Survey & design

Measurement, calculation, drawings in your authority's format.

04

Handover

Application documents, as-built plans, support through to handover.

05 / Questions

Answers that would otherwise cost 15 minutes on the phone.

01Consulting engineers or ÖbVI – who is responsible?

Sovereign tasks (ÖbVI or the land management office): boundary determination, land subdivision, the official cadastral building survey, the official site plan.

Engineering surveying (WMEC): topographic surveys, level surveys, setting out, as-built documentation, river and structural surveys.

02Which documents do you need from me?

For a site plan and level survey:

  • Cadastral district, section, parcel number
  • Extract from the cadastral map
  • The architect's draft drawing

For setting out we also need the approved site plan and the floor plan with dimensions.

03What does a survey or a design cost?

It depends on area, terrain and required accuracy. Design work is invoiced under the German HOAI fee scale, surveying usually as a fixed price.

After your enquiry we will give you a written range – with no obligation.

04How long does a water rights application take?

Our part takes a few weeks depending on scope, the authority's procedure typically several months. So start early – especially where funding deadlines apply.

05How quickly can you come?

New design projects from Q1 2027. Short-notice individual visits only to a limited extent – state your timeframe in the form and we will tell you honestly whether it works.

06Which formats do you deliver in?

DWG/DXF, ASCII/CSV, PDF. Position ETRS89/UTM32, heights DHHN2016 – or to your specification.

06 / Project enquiry

A qualified enquiry in three minutes.

Four short questions – then we can place your project straight away.

  • Free and without obligation
  • Answer within 2 working days by e-mail
  • At the end you see which documents we need

STEP 1 OF 5
Who are you?

Who are you?

So that we ask you the right questions.

What is it about?

Choose the matching subject. Several? Most important first – the rest fits in the free-text field.

Where and how big?

A location and a rough classification are enough.

Please enter a location or a watercourse.

By when – and what do you already have?

That decides how quickly we can give you a reliable answer.

Short-notice individual visits are only possible to a limited extent at the moment. Send the enquiry anyway – we will get in touch if a slot opens up, and otherwise tell you honestly when it would work.
Attach files · PDF, DWG, JPG up to 20 MBOr send them later by e-mail – we will tell you what is missing.

How can we reach you?

We reply by e-mail – so you can pass our assessment on in your own time.

Please enter your name.
Please enter your organisation.

Thank you – your enquiry has reached us.

You will shortly receive a confirmation by e-mail. We will come back to you within 2 working days with an initial assessment.

What happens next

  1. We review your details and classify the project.
  2. You receive an e-mail with our assessment, a time window and any queries.
  3. If useful, a short call or a site visit – then the quote.

    07 / About WMEC

To live with nature you have to understand it.

Since 2004 we have combined water management design with engineering surveying. Stream, retention basin or housing development – it always begins with an exact measurement.

We are a small office in the Odenwald. The person who talks to you also stands in the stream.
