WMEC stands for Water · Management · Engineering · Consult. A small office in the Odenwald that combines two disciplines usually bought separately.
Since 2004
Founded in 2004, a limited company since 2010, based in Bad König in the Odenwald district. What began as a surveying office became one that does the design as well – because clients kept running into the same problem: the surveyor delivered data, the design office needed different data, and time was lost in between.
Today we survey watercourses ourselves, calculate the water surface profiles ourselves and substantiate the water rights application with our own figures. That is the whole difference, and it is bigger than it sounds.
Change and progress – yes. But not at the expense of nature, and therefore not at the expense of those who inherit it.
What we want to be judged on
- Accuracy
- “Roughly, more or less and approximately are foreign words to us.” The line has been on our documents since 2004 and means exactly that.
- Availability
- Whoever talks to you also stands in the stream. There is no layer between you and the person who measures.
- Procedural certainty
- We know the routes of the water authority and what the building authority expects. Documents that come back cost everyone months.
- Honesty about capacity
- If a date does not work, we say so straight away instead of letting an enquiry sit.

Where we work
Our focus is the Odenwald district, southern Hesse and the Rhine-Main area. River projects we have delivered include work on the Aar in Rhineland-Palatinate, in the Rhein-Lahn district and at Diez.
From Bad König practically every stream between the Main and the Lahn is within an hour. For larger design projects we are happy to discuss the radius – single survey visits we deliberately keep regional so that travel does not eat half the job.
